Physiotherapy in Estepona
The Angel Center

18003628694403659_edited.jpg

El Ángel Physiotherapy Center offers two different treatment approaches, we are specialized in Advanced Physiotherapy and Invasive Physiotherapy.

Within Advanced Physiotherapy, which has a more conservative approach, we work with manual therapy, massage, diathermy and therapeutic exercise.

Invasive Physiotherapy is a more innovative approach, but in an invasive way. We are talking about treatments that are carried out inside the body. In our case, we work with Percutaneous Electrolysis, NMP and Electrostimulation. These are very effective techniques, for which a needle is introduced under ultrasound guidance, which is why they are invasive.

Which treatment to choose?

Normally, it often happens that our patients have doubts when choosing between these two types of modalities.

For this reason, we have decided to briefly explain the benefits of each intervention and in which pathologies it is advisable to choose one option or another.

Conservative Treatment

- Manual therapy (stretching, massage...)

- Neuromuscular bandage (kinesiotapping)

- Diathermy (tecar therapy)

- Therapeutic exercise

- Ultrasound

(We can assess the injury with ultrasound)

Invasive Treatment

CHRONIC PAIN

Much of the SUCCESS of Invasive Physiotherapy is that in patients with chronic ailments we are able to end the pain of our patients.

As we have previously mentioned, by applying the needle we can reach deep areas that we cannot reach with manual therapy or other devices.

ACUTE PAIN

From our center, we recommend our patients come after 2 days of having suffered an injury.

Thanks to the use of INVASIVE PHYSICAL THERAPY, we have seen very significant changes by treating the injury IN ITS INITIAL STAGE.

Since treating the injury at its beginning we can induce favorable changes in the structures involved in the injury focus.

Invasive Physiotherapy

Invasive physiotherapy represents a new modality of work in our Physiotherapy Center El Angel, we use it to treat pathologies of musculoskeletal origin, which are very difficult to solve through other types of interventions.

The objective of the approach with invasive physiotherapy is to offer greater work tools, maintaining the basic principles of physiotherapy, can provide the patient with very positive results and in a shorter period of time, in the different conditions that our patients may suffer, always adapting the treatment to the tolerance level of each individual.  Among the invasive physiotherapy techniques that stand out mainly in our center are: dry needling, the EPI® technique, ultrasound-guided percutaneous neuromodulation (NMP) and galvanic neuromodulation (NMG), among others.

What is Invasive Physiotherapy and what are its benefits?

Invasive physiotherapy encompasses a set of techniques that allow us to treat various conditions directly on the injured tissue and study its evolution in a more precise way and with better results. Through these techniques, we seek to promote tissue regeneration through the application of a needle, which will be responsible for activating a recovery process in the injured tissue.

Another benefit of these invasive techniques is that they are supported by ECOGRAPHY to evaluate the location of the damage, extension and severity, which allows us to be more accurate in locating the lesional focus. This provides us with an estimated prognosis, follow-up and evolutionary control, which greatly influences the progress of the lesion, since it is possible to see in real time where the treatment is being applied and to measure its progress.
It has been determined that the inclusion of invasive techniques in conventional treatments, contributes to the reduction in recovery time.

How do we do Invasive Physical Therapy?

In Centro Fisioterapia El Angel, we have specialists in the area of invasive physiotherapy, who have the knowledge, tools and equipment to carry out these sophisticated procedures that every day have more support from the scientific community and approval by patients.
Our PROTOCOL is to first perform a visual and manual examination, followed by an ECOGRAPHIC evaluation which will guide us in choosing the most appropriate treatment.

Advanced Physiotherapy
Ancla 2

In our center we have this modality of physiotherapy, it is the most common and best known type of treatment. As it is performed through non-invasive approaches, it can be used for all types of people and with it we can treat practically all types of pathologies of the musculoskeletal system.

The goal of conventional physiotherapy is to return the patient to a state of optimal health, in which it was previously. Each patient is different, so our treatment will always be adapted to each situation individually.

Within conventional physiotherapy, the most common approaches are: MANUAL THERAPY, THERAPEUTIC EXERCISE, STRETCHING, RADIOFREQUENCY, ULTRASOUNDS, FUNCTIONAL BANDAGE AND ELECTROTHERAPY, among others...

What is Advanced Physiotherapy and what are its benefits?

Conventional physiotherapy encompasses a wide variety of techniques ranging from MANUAL THERAPY to LYMPHATIC DRAINAGE.

Normally when we apply this type of physiotherapy, the most common is to work with the patient manually (manual therapy, mobilizations, stretching, exercise ... ) and with the help of equipment (TENS, diathermy, ultrasound ... ).

How do we do Advanced Physiotherapy?

In Centro Fisioterapia El Angel, we have specialists who have the knowledge, tools and equipment to carry out this type of physiotherapy.

Our PROCEDURE par excellence consists of: PHYSICAL AND VISUAL EXPLORATION, choice of treatment, MANUAL THERAPY always in the initial phase and then the physiotherapist will choose how to continue the therapy, either by THERAPEUTIC EXERCISE, DIATHERAPY, STRETCHING, KINESIOTAPPING...
